Dr. Tom Lee
Dr. Lee received his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery in South Korea before completing a 4 year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Yonsei University and its affiliated Severance Hospital in Seoul, South Korea.
During his residency, Dr. Lee received training in oral cancer, head & neck reconstructive surgery, orthognathic surgery, cleft and palate reconstructive surgery, trauma surgery, oral infection control, distraction osteogenesis surgery, minor and complicated dental extractions, implant surgery, as well as TMJ open surgery. He also gained knowledge in emergency medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, and oral pathology.
Dr. Lee was invited as a visiting resident to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Queen Elizabeth II Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS Canada in 2001. Upon completion of his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program in South Korea, he decided to immigrate to Canada. He completed qualifying program at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia for general dentistry. Dr. Lee now provides General Dentistry in BC at several of our Sedation Dental clinics. Dr. Lee received his I.V. Sedation Certificate from CDSBC (College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia).
